Who will win the #BrandBowl ?

With the Millions spent on Superbowl Commercials. Upwards of 4.5 million dollars for a 30 second ad. It’s at least worth watching the Superbowl to see what marketing teams come up with when they have a million dollar budget. Lets take a look at these nominees for my Brand Bowl 2014 Competition!

#brandbowl Nomonies Are:

MASARATI Commerical took up the whole first Commercial Break. WOW! Good looking commercial though.

TURBO TAX – This commercial im sure resonated with alot of people. Talked about you and me and the average person. With the amount of people watching thats not a bad tactic. “reach as many people as we can”

BEATS & AT&T – Commercial , with Ellen dancing

HYAUNDIA –  Auto breaking, finally a commercial that leads up to the message with a similar action.

PISTACHIOS –  combo of two commercials with Steven Colbert (winner!) – Directed by Emmy-award winning director Tom Kuntz

AUDI – “Doberwawa!”

and the winner is …

Stephen Colbert the host of The Colbert Report, took center stage during the Wonderful Pistachios commercial and as usual he was so funny.

Last year’s Super Bowl spot featuring PSY drove significant brand awareness and incredible buzz among consumers,” said Marc Seguin, vice president of marketing, Paramount Farms, maker of Wonderful Pistachios. “This year, we wanted to extend and deepen that enthusiasm beyond the Super Bowl with talent that excites and resonates with our core consumer target over the full year.  Mr. Colbert is the perfect fit for our brand and for this campaign.”

what people are saying:

  1. I liked it! That awful green is one of the Seahawk colors and that bird is one of the Seahawks mascot’s cousins!
  2. Pistachio, Pistachio, wait for it– PISTACHIO.
  3. I thought it was so clever when I saw this on tv
  4. The best part was when his face actually turned green and he peeled a nut off his face, yes he actually did that

We did a little research and found a little more footage of Colbert working on the commercial:
